The mission of Catholic Charities is to provide service to people in need, to advocate for justice in social structures, and to call the entire church and other people of good will to do the same. CCUSA represents agencies across the country that serve the nation’s poorest and most vulnerable regardless of faith, with programs and efforts focused on feeding the hungry, providing shelter for those in need, disaster relief, adoption assistance, training and education, and caring for the vulnerable.

Wounded Warrior Project

The Wounded Warrior Project aims to help injured service members aid and assist each other by providing unique, direct programs to meet their individual needs. Programs include: Combat Stress Recovery which addresses the mental health and cognitive needs of warriors returning from war; the Independence Program, designed for warriors who rely on their family or caregivers as a result of moderate-to-severe brain injury, spinal-cord injury, or other neurological conditions; Family Support; Transition Training; and the Warrior Care Network, connecting veterans to academic medical centers that can address undiagnosed and untreated mental health issues suffered from the travesty of war.
