The Joan Dancy and PALS (People with ALS) Foundation was formed in 2005 by Terry Magovern in honor of his late fiancé, Joan after she succumbed to ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Its mission is to help and provide assistance, services and programs that support ALS patients and their families in local central NJ communities to live and enjoy as full and as normal a life as possible. Programs and services include support & home assistance from its clinical staff, durable medical equipment loans for wheelchairs, Hoyer Lifts & shower chairs, social outlets for patients & families including concerts and shows, and assistance with Hospice and Home Health Aide agencies if and when needed.
