In 1997, a partnership among the LPGA, the Masters Tournament, the PGA of America, the PGA TOUR, and the USGA created the First Tee to inspire more children in the interest of playing golf. Bringing an affordable junior golf program to communities that did not have them, especially in economically disadvantaged areas, the First Tee not only teaches the fundamentals of golf, but also values and life lessons. With over 1400 local chapters across the US, the organization focuses on nine core values: honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy, and judgment, along with a love of the game.
ASPCA
The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was founded on the belief that animals are entitled to kind and respectful treatment at the hands of humans and must be protected under the law. The organization, founded in 1866, was the first humane society established in North America and is dedicated to shaping a society that continuously improves the lives of animals.
