Anchor House

Anchor House Shelter was founded in 1978 to move homeless and runaway youth off the streets of Trenton and reunite them with their family. Today, Anchor House Inc. provides shelter, school outreach, transitional and supportive housing, and street outreach to youth, ages 12 to 21 years of age, from Mercer County and throughout the state of New Jersey.  The mission of Anchor House is to work with abused, homeless, runaway, at risk and aging out youth to utilize their strengths and the support of their families and communities in order to ensure a stronger future.

Joe was a dedicated participant in the Anchor House Ride for Runaways and a memorial contribution in his name would continue his legacy of service and generosity.

We Make - Autism at Work

we make’s mission is to create, inspire and implement an innovative approach to meaningful careers for people with autism, with everything from the environment, the processes, the opportunities, to product fulfillment built around shared needs. With about 1 in 68 children in the U.S. having been identified with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), the lack of programs and sustainable work situations for adults with autism will only become more acute. we make provides single workspaces with a specific type of work. This particular environment creates enrichment opportunities for a growing number of adults with autism, and the program model can truly scale in many types of communities. we make has produced a flexible model which can be replicated by adopting our approach and processes to specific operations and industries.
