America's VetDogs

The Guide Dog Foundation was founded after World War II to provide guide dogs and training at no cost to veterans returning from the battlefields of Europe and the Pacific.  With the aging of America’s veterans, and as servicemen and women return home from current conflicts, the Foundation recognized there would be a greater need for guide and specialized service dogs and thus created America’s VetDogs in 2003, which then became an independent 501(c)3 organization in 2006, while still sharing staff and resources to meet their shared mission of helping disabled veterans returned from war.

The service dog programs of America’s VetDogs® were created to provide enhanced mobility and renewed independence to veterans, active-duty service members, and first responders with disabilities, allowing them to once again live with pride and self-reliance.  Not only does a service dog provide support with daily activities, it provides the motivation to tackle new challenges.

Boys Town

In 1917, a young Irish priest named Father Edward Flanagan grew discouraged in his work with homeless men in Omaha, Nebraska. He shifted his attention and rented a boarding house that became Father Flanagan’s Home for Boys. Flanagan welcomed all boys, regardless of their race or religion and by the spring, 100 boys were living at the Home.  Since that time, Boys Town has continued to expand in its dedication to providing compassionate treatment for the behavioral, emotional and physical problems of children and families.  Its programs include: The Family Home where children live in homes and are cared for by married couples known as Family-Teachers®; The Boys Town National Research Hospital® is a nationally-recognized treatment center for children with hearing and speech disorders and helps 60,000 deaf and hard-of-hearing students each year; and the National Hotline which has handled more than 8 million calls since its inception.  

Each year, Boys Town impacts the lives of over two million people and strives to fulfill its mission to help every child and family to thrive, regardless of background and circumstances.

In Memory Of ensures that the family knows of your support.  All donor names will be sent to the family in a single letter, allowing your generosity to be known and acknowledged.  As it is the thought that counts, the amount of your donation will not be disclosed.

By using In Memory Of, you are assured that your information will be kept confidential. We will not forward your name or contact information to the organization that received your donation, thereby preventing any future solicitation.

To provide our services, cover credit card processing fees and grow our social organization, we receive six percent of the total contributions and add one dollar to the overall donation that will be charged to your card.

If you choose not to use our services and would prefer to write a check directly to the organization, please click the button below to find the correct mailing address.  In Memory Of cannot guarantee the family will be notified of your generosity, nor can we protect you from future solicitations.
