Jim lived life to its fullest and his achievements defy a single lifetime. Yet for all his accolades, the most meaningful monikers were always
Husband ~ Father ~ Grandfather ~ Friend
He gave his family the greatest gift he could - himself - and the adventures shared, the tales told and the memories created will continue to live on in those he loved and who loved him unequivocally in return.
To ensure your generosity and support are acknowledged Jim’s family has requested that memorial contributions be made through IN MEMORY OF to the following
The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation honors the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. Through its programs, the Foundation is committed to ensuring we never forget the events of 9/11, the sacrifices that were made and the sacrifices that continue to be made by our first responders in the line of duty today.
Through the Fallen First Responder Home Program, Tunnel to Towers aims to pay off the mortgages of fallen law enforcement officers and firefighters killed in the line of duty that leave behind young children. With its Smart Home Program, The Tunnel to Towers Foundation builds mortgage-free smart homes for the most catastrophically injured veterans and first responders. Each home is designed to address the unique needs of each individual, enabling them to reclaim their independence. And launched in 2018, The Gold Star Family Home Program expands the Foundation’s service to honor the legacy of those who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country, providing a mortgage-free home to surviving spouses with young children.
Susan G. Komen Foundation
In 1980, Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan, that she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became the Susan G. Komen® organization and the beginning of a global movement. What was started with $200 and a shoebox full of potential donor names has now grown into the world’s largest nonprofit source of funding for the fight against breast cancer. To date, the foundation has invested more than $2.6 billion in groundbreaking research, community health outreach, advocacy and programs in more than 60 countries around the world. These efforts have helped reduce death rates from breast cancer by 37 percent between 1990-2013 as the organization continues until Nancy’s promise is fulfilled.
