To ensure your generosity and support are acknowledged, Edward’s family has requested that memorial contributions be made through IN MEMORY OF to the following

VFW Foundation

Tracing its roots back to 1899, the VFW was organized by veterans of the Spanish-American War (1898) and the Philippine Insurrection (1899-1902) who founded local organizations to secure rights and benefits for their service, particularly medical care and pension contributions. Today, the VFW Foundation continues to financially assist veterans by filling in governmental assistance gaps for troops abroad, military families back in the U.S. and America's often-forgotten veterans. These programs, including - VFW Post grants, veteran student scholarships, counsel and assistance for disability claims and funds for troops and families in need of housing, medical care or basic life costs - are provided at no cost to the recipients and require no Veterans of Foreign Wars affiliation.

American Legion Post #530 - Robbinsville

The American Legion, initially chartered in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization, has since grown to a societally-impactful non-profit helping all Americans.  For veterans, the Legion department service officers help thousands of veterans receive VA benefits they earned through service to their country;  it conducts and supports hundreds of career fairs for veterans and transitioning service members, bringing employers face to face with job hunters; and through Operation Comfort Warriors, the Legion raises funds to provide comfort items for U.S. troops recovering in military hospitals and transition units worldwide.  In addition, the Legion Riders through the annual Legacy Run, have raised more than $2 million for the Legacy Scholarship, helping ensure the children of U.S. service members killed on or after Sept. 11, 2001, have a chance at a college education.
