Erich dedicated much of his life to building ~ in a literal sense during his time with Bell Labs and helping family & friends with home remodeling, and figuratively in the myriad ways he supported his community. From mentoring athletes, to lending an ear for counsel, or providing the work ethic and spirit of generosity to teach others, Erich was the foundation on which ideas, community, friendships and family devotion flourished.

He will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all those he loved and all those who loved him unequivocally in return.

Made up entirely of committed volunteers who give their time freely to protect their community, the Denville Volunteer Fire Department responds to an average of 1,500 fire and emergency medical services calls each year, protecting and serving the citizens and town of Denville.

Lake George Land Conservancy

Working with willing landowners and other partners, the LGLC’s mission is to permanently protect the land that protects that protects the world-renowned water quality of the lake and the natural resources of the Lake George watershed.

This was the happy place for Erich and the Franz family. Holidays and vacations, laughter and stories that will live on in family lore.
