May Hessie’s innate generosity, warmth and boundless love continue to envelop and inspire all those she adored and all those who loved her unequivocally in return.

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church

As a long-time and active parishioner of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, this has been the religious and spiritual community for Hessie and the Kjekstad family. Hessie gave her time freely, singing in the church choir and was an active participant in the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church (WELCA). She was affectionately known as “The Sunshine Lady,” writing letters and cards to those who were sick or in need. Her devotion, kindness and generosity of spirit were pillars of the community and she will be forever remembered by those blessed to have known her.

All contributions made in Hessie’s honor will be allocated specifically to the women’s group, WELCA.
