Cathy Reilly
The heart of the family, may the love encapsulated in all Cathy did, continue to bring warmth and nurturing to all those blessed to have been a part of her wonderful world.
To ensure your generosity and support are acknowledged, Cathy’s family has requested that memorial contributions be made through IN MEMORY OF to the following
VNA Foundation of Northern New Jersey
Recognizing a need for home nursing care in the town and surrounding rural communities, in 1898 the Morristown Female Charitable Society was founded and hired the county's first visiting nurse, Anna B. Hillock. Originally visiting patients via bicycles and horseback, an evolved Visiting Nurses Association emerged with the purchase of a Ford Touring car in the 1920’s. Along with the an increase in efficiency, maternal health clinics and nursing programs were developed to address the major health dangers of the time, infant mortality and tuberculosis.
Since then, the Visiting Nurse Association of Northern New Jersey has devoted more than a century to delivering home health services to residents of Morris, Warren, Sussex and Hunterdon counties and neighboring communities who want to return home safely following hospitalization or need a helping hand to remain in the comfort of home due to an illness, disability or advanced age.
St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center
Founded in 1939, the St. Hubert Animal Welfare Center is dedicated to providing services that support the human-animal bond and seeks to foster an environment in which people respect all living creatures. The organization operates two animal shelters and an adoption center, along with a nationally renowned Training and Behavior Center located at its Madison campus. In addition to providing help and relief to its shelter animals, it offers community-based services including a pet food pantry, a pet helpline, low-cost spay/neuter of community cats, and a professional education series. Its employees also provide services for local districts by assisting with domestic animals and wildlife in need.
