CUMAC

Founded in 1985, CUMAC (Center of United Methodist Aid to the Community Ecumenically Concerned Helping Others) is focused on combating hunger and poverty in Passaic County. It’s mission is to fight hunger and its root causes through a holistic, trauma-informed approach that provides groceries and basic necessities to families and individuals in need. A multi-service agency, it serves over 40,000 people annually, providing a food marketplace, food depot, supportive housing, and workforce training. It is a Hope Center supported by the Greater New Jersey Conference of the United Methodist Church and is recognized for its trauma-informed approach.

Irene and Arnold fully believed in the mission of CUMAC and avidly supported the organization for many years.

As a long-time and active parishioner of the Denville Community Church, this has been the religious and spiritual community for Irene and the Card family.  Her kindness and generosity of spirit were experienced by all who were blessed to have known her and in this way, her gifts will live on.
