Joining the Heavenly Scrabble Club with a glass of Chardonnay, Maryland lump crab cakes, and “homemade” brownies, Joan takes with her the thing she held most dear ~ the love of her family. From a not-so-chance meeting in the Bronx to a happy retired life in Union Township, Joan and Bill created a vibrant life together ~ full of laughter and love ~ with their children, grandchildren and close friends.
Her journey may end by the shores of the sea, but her joy for life and all of its pleasures will live on in those fortunate to have been a part of her world.

The Seeing Eye Foundation
The Seeing Eye's mission is to enhance the independence, dignity and self-confidence of people who are blind, through the use of specially trained Seeing Eye® dogs. In pursuit of this mission, The Seeing Eye breeds and raises puppies to become Seeing Eye dogs, trains Seeing Eye dogs to guide blind people, instructs blind people in the proper use, handling, and care of the dogs and conducts and supports research on canine health and development.
Joan was very involved with the Seeing Eye and served as Executive Assistant to the President for several years.
