Proudly serving his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII, Phil continued with his characteristic integrity in raising his family with his wife Evelyn - tirelessly working to provide yet still making time for his children while coaching from the sidelines.

He will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all those he loved and who loved him unconditionally in return.

The Wounded Warrior Project aims to help injured service members aid and assist each other by providing unique, direct programs to meet their individual needs. Programs include: Combat Stress Recovery which addresses the mental health and cognitive needs of warriors returning from war; the Independence Program, designed for warriors who rely on their family or caregivers as a result of moderate-to-severe brain injury, spinal-cord injury, or other neurological conditions; Family Support; Transition Training; and the Warrior Care Network, connecting veterans to academic medical centers that can address undiagnosed and untreated mental health issues suffered from the travesty of war.
