Myasthenia Gravis (MG) is a chronic autoimmune neuromuscular disorder characterized by fluctuating weakness of the voluntary muscle groups. The Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America was created to to improve access and enhance lives for those with MG, support research that will improve the lives of patients with myasthenia gravis and related neuromuscular junction disorders and raise awareness about MG through advocacy, communications and education.
Parkinson's Foundation
Founded in 1957 before Parkinson's was well known, the Parkinson's Foundation has helped to call national attention to this disease over the past five decades of its work. Committed to helping patients and their families, the foundation provides patient services, funds medical research and supports caregivers to help alleviate the pain and suffering of those affected and to ultimately find a cure.
