The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine has a vision of creating a healthier world in which health and compassion are central values in science and medicine. It is dedicated to saving and improving human and animal lives through plant-based diets and ethical and effective scientific research and its efforts are dramatically changing the way doctors treat chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and cancer. By putting prevention over pills, doctors are empowering their patients to take control of their own health. Additionally, the organization is also building a new way of viewing research, consistently looking for alternatives to the use of animals in medical education and research and for more effective scientific methods.
