Mary dedicated her life helping others, whether as a professional nurse or her volunteered time for local political campaigns, Roosevelt Rescue Squad or as an aide in the public school. May her inspirational generosity and the sound of her voice continue to echo & resound in the lives of all those helped and most poignantly in all those she loved.

The American Heart Association is the nation’s oldest and largest voluntary organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. Founded by six cardiologists in 1924, the organization now includes more than 22.5 million volunteers, 156 local offices and over 3,000 employees. The organization funds innovative research, advocates for stronger public health policies, and provides critical tools and information to save and improve lives. The American Stroke Association was created as a division in 1997 to bring together the organization’s stroke-related activities.
