Ellen's life was intertwined with her faith and the foundation of her love for her family and those around her. A devout Catholic and active parishioner, Ellen’s generosity and kindness were experienced by many and her gifts will live on in the spirit and actions of all those who were truly blessed to have known her.

Started over 40 years ago out of the back of a station wagon in downtown Newark, the Community FoodBank of New Jersey is now the largest anti-hunger and poverty organization in the state. Providing over 50 million meals in 2019 through its 1,000 community partnerships, the organization not only helps those in immediate need, but also looks for longer-term solutions through workforce development initiatives.
Ellen was deeply committed to helping those in her community who were unfortunately disadvantaged.
A memorial contribution to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey would be a living tribute to her legacy and acts of generosity as well as immediately help those who are most in need.
