Rich led a truly fascinating life, fueled by his love of problem solving and his passion for mechanical engineering. The complexities of things unseen were a challenge to Rich - to understand and reimagine the possibilities of technology and the capabilities of those he supported and led. His genuine compassion and enthusiasm were the perfect balance to his grounded sense of purpose, both in his work and his place in the greater world.

A proud husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and uncle, his legacy will live on through his family, his colleagues and his friends, and he will be forever remembered and missed.

NJ Sharing Network

NJ Sharing Network is a non-profit, federally designated organ procurement organization committed to saving and enhancing lives through organ and tissue donation and transplantation. By working closely with hospitals and transplant centers, and increasing awareness with education tools and the media, the number of organs recovered in New Jersey for transplant has quadrupled since the NJ Sharing Network was founded and its laboratory, to date, is credited with saving the lives of over 8,000 NJ residents.

It took time and education for Rich to accept the gift of a transplant ~ his desire to help others led him to believe he was denying that gift to someone else. The match he received gave him two precious years with his family, and by supporting the NJ Sharing Network in Rich’s name, that same invaluable time can be given to another recipient, as he would want it to be.
