Mary Ellen lived her life in service to others, appreciating the beauty in all people. She found sanctuary in nature and the great outdoors, be it at the shore or on her daily walks. She was a rare soul whose presence was lovingly engrained and whose absence will be deeply felt.

The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of its founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay.

Mary Ellen had a ‘motherly touch’ in all she did and found meaning and purpose through the well-being of children. A contribution to St. Jude’s would not only be a living tribute to Mary Ellen’s memory, it would also honor her legacy of compassionate care for all children.
