The NJPRF was created to address the social, economic and medical impact of COVID-19 on the citizens of New Jersey, with specific attention to the state’s most vulnerable populations.

For the past nine months, the Fund has successfully harnessed the indomitable Jersey spirit and generosity. Its unique position allowed the organization to identify needs, fill-in gaps and remove roadblocks to deliver aid where it was most urgently needed. Early on, it focused on areas of critical need such as food, shelter, and health. As the pandemic wore on, it funded programs addressing deeper systemic issues such as child care accessibility and digital connectivity in schools. Committed resources supported the arts community and women and minority-owned small businesses as well as much-needed funding for mental health counseling and support for people facing eviction.
