Lustgarten Foundation

Founded in 1999 in memory of Marc Lustgarten, The Lustgarten Foundation was established to advance research related to the diagnosis, treatment, cure and prevention of pancreatic cancer while raising public awareness and providing support for patients and their families. Initially considered an orphan disease, the National Cancer Institute allocated only $16.2 million for research into pancreatic cancer. With the Lustgarten Foundation not only providing new sources of funding awarded to innovative researchers, but also raising awareness, the National Cancer Institute now dedicates more than $150 million annually toward finding a cure.

Cape Hope

CAPE HOPE is a faith-based advocacy organization focusing on homelessness, and the prevention of homelessness, to single adults, children, families, and the elderly of Cape May County. While the organization helps to solve the immediate concerns such as overnight shelter, food, clothing and supplies, its long term goal is to move persons into safe, stable transitional housing where they will learn the skills to advance into permanent, sustainable housing.
