Few people truly exemplify the meaning of service to others the way Duane did. His life was built on what he gave of himself. He was a loving husband and devoted father, a talented artist and a recognized and respected member of his community. His active roles in his church and civic organizations touched the lives of many, and he will be dearly missed and forever remembered.

As a long-time and active parishioner of the First Presbyterian Church of Washington, this has been the religious and spiritual community for Duane and the Alpaugh Family. Duane served as a deacon, a Sunday school teacher and was also on the maintenance committee. His kindness and generosity of spirit were experienced by all who were blessed to have known him and in this way, his gifts will live on.

Washington Borough Fire Department

Duane devoted 17 years of active service to the Washington Borough Fire Department. A donation made in his name would honor his commitment to protecting his community and help the department continue its invaluable work.
