A man whose life and code were simple; a first generation American who carried the Irish toughness and spirit of Mayo and Clooncan with him every step of the way; a quick dribbler and quicker shooter who took Seton Hall University to the NIT; a Marine captain who marched as sharply as the creases in his dress whites; one half -- with Judith Ann Larmour also of Plainfield NJ -- of a 67-year romance and marriage that burned bright to the very end; a man in the grey flannel suit who looked across the table, shook your hand, and never compromised his integrity - once - over 45 years; a son who made his parents deeply proud: a father whose open hand, mind, heart and love guided his children well; a fighter who spent the last ten years suffering from more afflictions than most men could handle and who never - once - complained. He left with us with an open heart, clear conscience, and love of his family; he will be so terribly missed.
