The Humane Society

The Humane Society of the United States is the nation's largest animal protection organization and its affiliates provide direct care to more than 100,000 animals each year—more than any other animal welfare organization—through its sanctuaries, veterinary programs and emergency shelters and rescues. Working to professionalize the field of animal care with its education and training programs, and committed to aiding animals in crisis, the organization also focuses on root causes of major issues that occur both domestically and internationally. The organization's goal is to drive transformational change for animals and how our society can better interact with them.

The National Kidney Foundation is the leading organization in the U.S. dedicated to the awareness, prevention and treatment of kidney disease for hundreds of thousands of healthcare professionals, millions of patients and their families, and tens of millions of Americans at risk.

The Foundation is currently focused on making the more than 73 million Americans at risk for kidney disease aware of the condition through its first national summit and continued expansion of its community-based programs. Additionally, it is addressing the 26 million patients currently living with the disease -many of whom don't know they are afflicted - through its early detection program KEEP Healthy. And it continues to sponsor its Young Investigators Forum, whereby innovative researchers in the field are able to present and advance new technologies and therapies to help those patients who are living with all stages of kidney disease.
