Kathleen Eustace

Dedicated to generosity throughout her life, be it through her 30-plus years in nursing or her unwavering devotion to her family, Kathleen's gifts of compassion and care will be forever missed.

To ensure your generosity and support are acknowledged - and to help protect you from future solicitations - Kathleen's Family has requested that memorial contributions be made through IN MEMORY OF to the following

Better Community Housing of Trenton

Formerly "Martin House"

With the retirement of Father Brian McCormick in 2012, the Martin House was closed and its Family of Programs to help the low-income residents of Trenton was shared among other organizations devoted to the same mission of advocacy.

As a key part of the Martin House vision, Father Brian and a group of action-oriented neighborhood people started Better Community Housing of Trenton(BCH Trenton) to provide affordable housing for the very poor. Prospective homeowners had to put in 100 hours volunteering on housing rehab in order to “show interest and gain a skill… so that they can take care of their own home. Then they have to put in 100 hours of work on their own home.” To continue the spirit of giving and of community, once they move in, new homeowners would donate one day a month for the life of their 10-year mortgage.

By the time of Father Brian's retirement, 167 homes had been built or rehabilitated and the BCHT continues its mission in the values espoused by its original founder to create inner city neighborhoods in Trenton that are safe and stable, where people can afford to live and where residents feel empowered to work together to bring about change and raise children with values, goals, and dignity.

We direct our activities toward helping patrons achieve healthier lifestyles, increased self-esteem, and self-sufficiency.
