Johnna J Froschauer

With an innate gift of artistic talent, Johnna took the inherent beauty of flowers and made them art. She inspired those who both gave and received her work and adding a bit of herself to each piece, she shared hope and wonder and recreated how we see the world.

To ensure your generosity and support are acknowledged - and to help protect you from future solicitations - Johnna’s family has requested that memorial contributions be made through IN MEMORY OF to the

National Organization of Rare Disorders

In the late 1970s and early ‘80s, patients and families living with rare diseases felt alone and forgotten as little was being done to study these diseases or develop treatments. Leaders of several rare disease patient organizations formed an ad hoc coalition to focus attention on this problem. That coalition became NORD and was instrumental in the Orphan Drug Act of 1983, which created financial incentives for the development of treatments for rare diseases. Since then, NORD has served as the hub of the rare disease community, leading efforts to connect patients and patient organizations with other stakeholders, and offering programs such as patient assistance, rare disease databases, currently running clinical trials, support groups and patient advocacy to help patients and their families.
