Passionately devoted to improving the lives of those around her, Cynthia’s dedication immeasurably changed the world.

Her marathon ended way too soon, yet the nurturing care and inspiration she provided will continue to run in the hearts and minds of those she loved and who loved her unequivocally in return.

To ensure your generosity and support are acknowledged - and to help protect you from future solicitations - Cynthia’s family has requested that memorial contributions be made through IN MEMORY OF to the

Little Sisters of the Poor

When six Little Sisters of the Poor arrived in Richmond on October 13, 1874, their work of caring for the elderly poor was desperately needed due to the poverty and hardships caused by the Civil War. Over 140 years later, the organization continues to emulate the mission and vision of its founder, St. Jeanne Jugan: the solidarity of the human family and the wisdom of age are celebrated by providing the neediest elderly of every race and religion a home where they will be welcomed as Christ, cared for as family in a nurturing community and accompanied with dignity until God calls them to himself.

All contributions made in memory of Cynthia will be allocated to the Little Sisters of the Poor location in Henrico, Virginia.
