Christian Walter, Jr.
~ In Memory Of ~
Uncle Bud & Mr. Chris
Proudly serving his country in the United States Navy during WWII, Chris continued his commitment to those around him through sharing what he had, be it homegrown vegetables or gifts of woodworking skill. His benevolence and generosity of spirit will remain in the hearts of those who were truly fortunate to have known him.
To ensure your generosity and support are acknowledged - and to help protect you from future solicitations - Chris’ family has requested that memorial contributions be made through IN MEMORY OF to the following
Mobile Meals of Hamilton Township
Created in 1975, Mobile Meals of Hamilton Township, Inc., helps ensure that the elderly and handicapped citizens of Hamilton Township are properly cared for when it comes to their nutrition. Serving hot meals professionally prepared by staff at the RWJ University Hospital at Hamilton, volunteers make home deliveries five days a week, decreasing the feeling of isolation and increasing independence to stay at home for a longer period of time for those citizens who use the service.
Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice
When Dame Cecily Saunders, the founder of the modern hospice movement, spoke in Philadelphia in the late 1970's, she inspired a group of local volunteers led by Dr. Agnes Gowdy. They dedicated themselves to introducing this comforting kind of end-of-life care to South Jersey in 1980. Their grassroots efforts, even before Congress authorized Medicare payments for hospice care, created the organization today known as Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice. Today, Samaritan offers hospice care to patients and families as a non-profit and non-sectarian organization, serving all without regard to ability to pay.
