Proudly serving his country in WWII, Anthony continued his dedication to citizenship and became a pillar of his community, founding Denville favorites, Denville Seafood and Codmother’s Café, with his beloved wife Ann Georgia.
His love of planes carried with him throughout his life, and he made time for his favorite pastimes of flying, gardening, fishing, golfing and running. His hard work and ingenuity made him a jack-of-all-trades, and his humor and compassion drew people to him. A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, Tony will be dearly missed, and his memory will remain in all those who were fortunate to have known him.
To ensure your generosity and support are acknowledged, the Aguanno Family has requested that memorial contributions be made through IN MEMORY OF to the
Paws and Stripes
Paws and Stripes began in 2010 when Lindsey Stanek’s ex-husband, Jim, faced PTSD and TBI. After seeing the impact therapy dogs had on him while he was in treatment, she pursued getting a service dog for him. She soon learned about the difficult and expensive process involved - insurance does not cover service dogs for veterans afflicted with these conditions and prices range from $10,000 to $60,000 for the dog and its training - so she started her own organization to help veterans. Paws and Stripes provide service dogs for veterans with PTSD and traumatic brain injury and, most importantly, they do it at no cost to veterans and their families.
